Most people like to cut their energy usage simply to save money, but there’s also a group of folks out there as interested in saving the environment as in saving some cash. Working with Honeywell Smart Grid Solutions on behalf of Baltimore Gas & Electric, PM created an eco-themed campaign for BGE’s energy-saving PeakRewards program. The campaign — emails, direct mail, Pandora radio spots and more — was centered around Earth Day and highlighted the many ways that saving energy helps protect the environment (and also saves money, because, hey, that’s great, too). Earth Day is just one day, so it was a brief campaign. But it made a major impact, helping to secure nearly 500 program enrollments despite the short timeframe.
